Dear Members of the Architectural Review Board,
We are pleased to see the proposed 710 Broadway mixed-use project before the ARB on Monday night and are writing to express our support. This project will provide 280 residential units (including 84 deed-restricted affordable units), commercial space, parking, and other community benefits – and importantly – this project is an example of what happens when we set feasible rules to address our community needs.
We were gratified that the project received overwhelming support at the Planning Commission hearing on June 16. As configured, this project demonstrates an implementation of the zoning changes that were so hard-won last year. We are glad to see those changes in action.
We support the modifications the project design team has made to improve the project’s character and function on this prominent corner. We urge you to vote yes and let 710 Broadway move ahead toward construction and completion. The sooner it is approved, the sooner our community can benefit from the impressive list of features included in the project.
