Re: Meeting Times - Council Agenda Item 13B
Dear Mayor Himmelrich, Mayor Pro Tem McCowan, and members of the Santa Monica City Council,
Santa Monica Forward opposes changes to council meeting times proposed in Agenda Item 13B. While we understand the concern over late meetings, moving portions of meetings to earlier in the day will make it difficult for working Santa Monicans to provide public comment or to serve as councilmembers. We encourage the city to explore ways to ensure that public hearings are more accessible to all Santa Monicans.
